Ikebana principles in this month's arrangement:
Our lesson will focus on highlighting beauty through simplicity. In order to emphasize the lush beauty of our roselilies, we’ll contrast them with light, simple greenery and supporting flowers. Roselilies are so large and spectacular that we don’t need to use many of them to make an impact. In fact, using too many roselilies in our arrangement would overwhelm the vase and detract from their beauty.
Avoid touching the roselily petals as you arrange to help them last longer!
Make small groupings of carnations, for example, three in the back and one in front.
