Ikebana principles in this month's arrangement:
Our lesson focuses on using vertical fixtures in an arrangement. Fixtures are used to secure or help balance your branches. In our arrangement, we’ll be using fixtures to secure our red dogwood branches horizontally across our vase, so they look like they’re floating in air.
If you have difficulty inserting thin stems like those of your eucalyptus, try inserting them at an angle so they catch diagonally on your kenzan pins.
Carefully remove any rogue thorns before handling your roses!
Try to avoid touching the rose petals to prolong the life of your flowers.
Top off your vase with water and mix in the flower food. Refill or change the water everyday.
